IU McKinney Staff Member Talks about Legal Job Market with Indiana Lawyer
11/08/2024
Olivia Cooley, senior associate director in the Office of Professional Development at IU McKinney, talked with the newspaper about students’ career goals. The story appears in the October 23 issue.
What students are looking for varies, Cooley said in the story, but one thing is constant: “They want to have meaning in their work.” Cooley, who also is a career coach for students, talked about IU McKinney’s On-Campus Interview Program, which offers two rounds of on-campus interviews where employers can recruit students for summer positions or full-time jobs after graduation. New this year is “city spotlight,” where attorneys from Chicago held a Zoom panel with students and talked about what it’s like working in their law firms and in that city.
