Professor Emmert Featured Member on CIArb North American Branch Website

IU McKinney Professor Frank Emmert is one of the featured members on the website of the Chartered Institute of Arbirators (CIArb) North American Brach. Professor Emmert served as vice chair of the organization in 2019. He joined the organization in 2016 and was made a Fellow in 2018.
CIArb is a not-for-profit that works in the public interest through an international network with a global membership of around 16,000 people who have professional training or experience in alternative dispute resolution. The group promotes all forms of private dispute resolution, and provides education and training for arbitrators, mediators, and adjudicators.
Professor Emmert is the John S. Grimes Professor of Law and Director of the Center for International and Comparative Law at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He teaches International Business and Trade Law, International Investment Law, European Union Law, Blockchain and Digital Currency Law, Artificial Intelligence Regulation, as well as International Commercial Arbitration, and Public Policy Mediation. As an arbitrator and consultant, he has 30 years of experience primarily in international commercial disputes, investment disputes, technology- and IP-related disputes. He advises on various matters of EU law, including antitrust or competition law, external trade and internal market, GDPR, and the new AI Regulation. Over 200 of his publications and presentations are available on ResearchGate. In addition to CIArb, he is also a member of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center.
