IU McKinney Dean Bravo Presents at Columbia Law during Symposium

IU McKinney School of Law Dean Karen E. Bravo served as the keynote speaker during the Columbia Journal of Law & Social Problems inaugural symposium. The event took place on February 21.
Dean Bravo is a graduate of Columbia Law and was a member of the editorial board of the journal while she was a student. “It was a special kind of homecoming, as service on the editorial board of the JLSP and publication of my student note were signal parts of my student experience,” Dean Bravo said.
Dean Bravo is the Gerald L. Bepko Professor of Law at IU McKinney. A well-known international law scholar, and expert in the study of human trafficking, her research interests include labor liberalization, personhood, slavery, and human trafficking. She is the founder and leader of the Slavery Past, Present and Future project. The interdisciplinary initiative brings together scholars of slavery from a multiplicity of disciplines.
