Law Library Associate Director Joe Lawson Elected to American Association of Law Libraries Executive Board

Joe Lawson, J.D. ’07, was elected to the American Association of Law Libraries Executive Board. He will begin his three-year term later this month at the 2025 AALL Annual Meeting and Conference in Portland, Oregon.
“I am excited to serve my fellow law librarians from across the globe and to help move our profession forward,” Lawson said. In June 2025, he joined Indiana University McKinney School of Law as Associate Director of the Ruth Lilly Law Library.
Lawson is no stranger to leadership roles in AALL. In 2022, he led planning of educational programs at the annual conference as chair of the AALL Annual Meeting Programs Committee. He also served as the inaugural chair of the AALL First-Gen Professionals Caucus and chair of the AALL Emerging Leader Award Jury.
