Three Faculty Appointed to Named Professorships

Three law school faculty members have been appointed to named professorships as of July 1 of this year. Professor George Edwards, the director of the school’s Program in International Human Rights Law is now the Carl M. Gray Professor of Law. Professor Edwards teaches in the areas of international human rights law, public international law, international legal
transactions, international criminal law and criminal procedure. He also oversees the international human rights law track of the school’s LL.M. program.

Professor Nicholas Georgakopoulos is the Harold R. Woodard Professor of Law. He teaches in the areas of business associations, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy law, and securities regulation. Professor Georgakopoulos will deliver the inaugural Woodard Professorship Lecture on February 27, 2007 at the law school.

Professor Linda Kelly Hill has been named the M. Dale Palmer Professor of Law. Professor Kelly Hill teaches in the areas of family law, immigration law, trusts and estates, and conflict of laws.
