IU McKinney Welcomes Visiting Scholar from China University of Political Science and Law

Xi Zhiwen, a Ph.D. candidate at China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, is the latest visiting scholar to be hosted by the Joint Center for Asian Law Studies at IU McKinney. Xi arrived September 25 and will be at the law school through September 2017.
Xi’s research pertains to sports law, and he is particularly interested in the rights of professional athletes, including the right of association, right of organization, and right of publicity. Xi is in the photo at right.
Professor Tom Wilson, in the photo at left, is the director of the Joint Center at IU McKinney. The center is the effort of IU McKinney and Renmin University of China Law School. It was founded in 2010 by Professor Wilson and Professor Ding Xiangshun, LL.M. ’06, of Renmin.
