Fifth Annual Student Organization Awards at IU McKinney

The Office of Student Affairs hosted the fifth annual Student Organization Awards on April 11 at IU McKinney. The ceremony and reception took place in the atrium at Inlow Hall.
The winners and the award presenters were as follows:
The Student Organization Advisor of the Year was awarded to Professor Carrie Hagan for her work with Womens Caucus. The award was presented by Dean Andrew R. Klein, and Womens Caucus Auction co-chairs Joey Keller and Blair Martin accepted the honor on her behalf.
The Second Chance Re-Entry Assistance Program, also known as S.C.R.A.P., received the award for Best New Student Organization of the Year. The award was presented by IU McKinney second-year law student Matthew Lawson to S.C.R.A.P. president Janeia Brounson.
The award for Best Collaboration of the Year for the annual Diversity Dinner was presented to the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and Hispanic Law Society. IU McKinney second-year law student Chelsea Princell presented the award to Black Law Students Association president Natasha Nsambo and BLSA member Khristian Wills.
The Outstanding Student Leader of the Year honor went to LL.M. student Swati Pradeep. The award was presented by Associate Director of Professional Development and Pro Bono Jennifer Thuma.
The Student Organization of the Year award went to The Federalist Society-Indiana University McKinney Chapter. The award was presented by Student Affairs Assistant Dean Johnny Pryor to Evan Norris, president of the group.
