Professor Frank Emmert has become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He became a member of the organization in 2016. Fellow status is bestowed only after proof of the highest level of arbitrator qualification has been determined in multi-day oral and written exams. Professor Emmert became a Fellow of the CIArb on March 26, 2018. He was appointed to the Executive Committee of the North American Branch of CIArb on April 30, 2018.
CIArb is a not-for-profit that works in the public interest through an international network with a global membership of around 12,500 people who have professional training or experience in alternative dispute resolution. The group promotes all forms of private dispute resolution, and provides education and training for arbitrators, mediators, and adjuicators.
Professor Emmert is the executive director of the Center for International and Comparative Law, and the John S. Grimes Professor of Law at IU McKinney.
