Professor Emmert Elected Vice Chair of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators North America

Professor Frank Emmert has been elected Vice Chair of the North American Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He will serve as Vice Chair/Membership.
CIArb is a not-for-profit that works in the public interest through an international network with a global membership of around 16,000 people who have professional training or experience in alternative dispute resolution. The group promotes all forms of private dispute resolution, and provides education and training for arbitrators, mediators, and adjuicators.
Professor Emmert joined the organization in 2016, and was made a Fellow in 2018. Fellow status is bestowed only after proof of the highest level of arbitrator qualification has been determined in multi-day oral and written exams.
Professor Emmert is an internationally recognized commercial arbitrator. At McKinney, he is the Executive Director of the Center for International and Comparative Law, and the John S. Grimes Professor of Law. He teaches International Business Transactions, International Commercial Arbitration, International Investment Law, World Trade Law, and European Union Law.
