Law Lecturers from VNU School of Law Pay Virtual Visit to Professor Nguyen's Contracts Class
04/17/2020
Five law lecturers from Vietnam National University School of Law visited with Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen’s Contracts and Sales class, did so remotely, and had to get up at 5 a.m. to make it happen!
Professor Nguyen’s visitors were:
Dr. Ngo Thanh Huong, who teaches Family Law
Dr. Nguyen Bich Thao, who teaches Intellectual Property Law, Civil Procedure, Comparative Civil Procedure, and Legal English
Dr. Nguyen Le Thu, who teaches Labor Law
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Huyen, who teaches Labor Law
Dr. Tran Cong Thinh, who teaches Civil Law, Civil Law Procedure Law, and Law on Enforcement of Civil Judgments
VNU law students will complete their Spring semester through online learning, as students elsewhere are doing. While IU McKinney students completed classes April 13, VNU students won’t be finished with classes until early June. VNU students had a two-week Lunar New Year holiday, and were not able to attend classes for the whole month of February because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The VNU School of Law Lecturers wanted to sit-in on Professor Nguyen’s class to get a look at how she conducts her online classes, learn about U.S. contract law, and for at least one of them, visit with a former professor.
“I was a former student of Professor Nguyen back in 2003, and she has always been my role model in teaching and research,” Dr. Nguyen Bich Thao said. “She has a wonderful style of teaching which is so inspirational, innovative, and exciting.”
