In the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, judicious humor promotes intelligible learning. Philip Aka, LL.M. ‘08, S.J.D. ‘16, and co-author, Dean Sencer Yeralan, highlight the value of humor in promoting learning in tertiary education. In their book titled “Humor in Pedagogy in Tertiary Education in the Age of COVID-19: Bosnia in Comparative Perspective,” they discuss key features of Bosnian self-parody and the judicious use of humor. It is slated to be published in July 2022. Aka served as dean of the law faculty at the International University of Sarajevo.
