Judge Ayers, '82, Nominated for Excellence in the Judiciary Award

Marion County Judge Cynthia Ayers, J.D. ’82, has been nominated for the National Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Division’s Excellence in the Judiciary Award.
Judge Ayers has been a member on the bench in Marion County since 1991. She currently serves in the Civil Division. She has served the county as a deputy prosecutor and as a master commissioner and has been an attorney in private practice. She was honored by Indiana Lawyer with a Diversity in Practice award, received the Excellence in Legal Education Dr. John Morton-Finney Award from the Indianapolis Bar Association, and received a presidential citation from the Indiana State Bar Association. She taught as an adjunct professor at IU McKinney from 2008-2011.
