Ahmed Young Named President and CEO of Indianapolis Foundation

Ahmed Young, J.D. ’11, has been named president and CEO of the Indianapolis Foundation. His appointment begins September 1. He has been director of public and government affairs in Walmart’s Corporate Affairs division since January 2022.
Before joining Walmart, Young served as chief of staff and general counsel for Indianapolis Public Schools and as director of the Office of Education Innovation and Charter Schools for the city of Indianapolis. He worked in private practice at Bose McKinney & Evans and as a Marion County deputy prosecutor.
Before coming to law school at IU McKinney, Young taught in the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township for four years before taking a job as a teacher in New York City Public Schools.
