ABA Publishes Book Featuring IU McKinney Alumni

IU McKinney alumni feature prominently in a book recently published by the American Bar Association. Edited by Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Leanna Weissmann, J.D. ’94, the book, Defense of Justice: Transformational Tales from the Trenches, features 45 personal narratives from public defenders across 24 states.
Judge Weissman wrote “Every Heart Has a Story If We Only Listen,” and “Defending the Defendant.”
Stacy Uliana, J.D. ’97, wrote “Three Trials, One Truth: A Tale of Justice Finally Served.” Uliana is a criminal defense attorney in Indianapolis.
Joel Wieneke, J.D. ’06, wrote “Where Grace Meets Justice: Two Girls, Two Losses, Infinite Hope.” Wieneke is an attorney at Child Advocates, Inc.
Jonathan Chenoweth, J.D. ’03, wrote “Dear Future Employer: Why My Client Deserves a Chance.” Chenoweth is a deputy public defender of Indiana and teaches as an adjunct professor in the wrongful conviction clinic at IU McKinney.
