Abby Gray, J.D. ’86, is the new commissioner of the Office of Utility Consumer Counselor. The commissioner serves as an advocate for Indiana utility consumers. Gray was appointed by Governor Mike Braun on September 3.
Gray has served for the last 16 years as the OUCC executive director of legal operations. Prior to that, she spent 23 years with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, serving as a senior administrative law judge and senior commission counsel.
“I have dedicated my career to public service and it’s the honor of a lifetime to continue to serve Indiana ratepayers in this new role,” Gray said in a press release announcing her appointment. “I am deeply humbled and appreciative of Governor Braun’s confidence in me and look forward to advocating for Indiana utility consumers.”
