IU McKinney Alumnae Named to Women of Influence Class for 2025

Two alumnae of the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law have been named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Women of Influence Class for 2025: Christina Laun Fugate, J.D. ’07; and Heather D. Harris, J.D. ’04.
Fugate is a partner at Ice Miller, where she leads the franchise and distribution practice, which involves advising franchisors. She is a board member of Elkhart Lake’s Road America motorsports road course and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. She’s also chair of the dean’s advisory counsel at Butler University’s Lacy School of Business, a board member of Project 44 Inc., a member of the executive leadership team for walk to End Alzheimer’s Greater Indianapolis chapter, and is vice chair of the bylaws committee for the U.S. Tennis Association Midwest Section.
Harris is a partner at Barnes & Thornburg, where she serves as a capital partner in the firm’s government services and finance department and health care department, is a member of the health care industry practice group, founded and chairs the firm’s charter school and school innovation practice group, and serves as an elected member of the firm’s management committee. She’s a member of the Indy Chamber’s business action committee; a member of the Indiana Chamber’s education and workforce committee; a founding board member, vice president, and secretary of the Institute for Quality Education; and a board member of SCG Legal.
