Professor Nguyen Conducts Workshops and Gives Guidance to Ministry of Justice in Vietnam

Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen traveled to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in March where she conducted several workshops on “Credit Agreements and Security Agreements” for lawyers, bankers, students, and law faculty. The events were sponsored by the World Bank/IFC and organized by the Vietnam Banks Association.
She also provided comments on Vietnam Draft Law on Secured Transactions to the Drafting Committee of the Vietnam Ministry of Justice at the Consultative Public Hearing on Vietnam Civil Code and Secured Transactions.
Professor Nguyen, who holds the Gerald L. Bepko Chair in Law, is the director of the IU McKinney Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation. She is an internationally recognized legal scholar, known for her expertise in the intersections of intellectual property, secured transactions, bankruptcy, licensing, and taxation.
