Professors Silva and Waterhouse Participate in Community Event to Address Mass Incarceration

On Friday, August 21, 2015, Professor Lahny Silva and Professor Carlton Waterhouse will speak at an event focusing on “Overturning the New Jim Crow: Ending Mass Incarceration and Fostering Reentry” to be held at 7:00 pm at the Light of the World Christian Church (4646 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN).
The event is open to all members of the community and will feature Professor Silva, a national expert on expungement and reentry; Professor Waterhouse, a national expert on racial justice an reparations; as well as IU Professor William Oliver, a national expert on African Americans and the criminal justice system; attorney Carlton Martin, a reinstatement expert with the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic; and Chris Harris, Indiana reentry and expungement expert and advocate with Life Community AME Church.
