IU McKinney Presents "Apple and the Innovation Myth," Part of the IP Center Distinguished Lecture Series, on September 15

Mike Pellegrino of Pellegrino & Associates, and Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen will offer a lecture titled “Apple and the Innovation Myth” on September 15. It marks the first presentation in the Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation’s Distinguished Lecture Series for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Pellegrino is the founder and president of his boutique intellectual property valuation firm, which has clients like IBM, GE, State Farm, and Liberty Mutual, to name a few. He has significant experience valuing patents and other forms of intellectual property in a variety of actions at the state and federal level. The firm has offices in Indianapolis and San Jose, California.
Professor Nguyen, who holds the Gerald L. Bepko Chair in Law, is the director of the IU McKinney Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation. She is an internationally recognized legal scholar, known for her expertise in the intersections of intellectual property, secured transactions, bankruptcy, licensing, and taxation.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. in the Inlow Hall Wynne Courtroom at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. The lecture is free and open to the public, and carries with it 1.0 hour of continuing legal education credit. Registration is required via the law school’s website.
