Guest Lecturers in Professor Ryznar's Class Include Visiting Scholar from China

Professor Li Xiaoming from Xi’an Jiaotong University School of Law was a guest lecturer on family in China for Professor Margaret Ryznar’s International and Comparative Family Law course at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. The course explores different family law systems, and the guest lecture focused on intergenerational obligations.
Professor Li Xiaoming arrived from Xi’an, China, in December 2015 and will spend one year studying and working at IU McKinney. Professor Li is the 25th Chinese http://mckinneylaw.iu.edu/asian-law/visitors.html scholar to visit the law school since 2009. These visits have been facilitated by the Joint Center for Asian Law Studies, http://mckinneylaw.iu.edu/asian-law/ which is co-directed by IU McKinney Professor Tom Wilson and by Professor Ding Xiangshun in China.
Other guest speakers for Professor Ryznar's class have included Angélique Devaux, LL.M. '12, who talked about French family law, and S.J.D. candidate and Salma Talman, who talked about Islamic family law.
