Professor Nguyen to Participate in Summit with Vietnam Prime Minister

Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen has been invited to take part in a summit and meeting with the Prime Minister of Vietnam. A group of academics has been chosen to meet with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
She will present a lecture titled “Legal Education/Training Reform for Economic Development” on November 12. “I am honored to be included in the group,” Professor Nguyen said.
Professor Nguyen, who holds the Gerald L. Bepko Chair in Law, is the director of the IU McKinney Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation. She is an internationally recognized legal scholar, known for her expertise at the intersections of intellectual property, secured transactions, bankruptcy, licensing, and taxation. She received the Grant Gilmore Award from the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, an honor bestowed only eight times since its creation in 1992, in recognition of her scholarship.
