Professor Nguyen Met with Colleagues in Taiwan During Fall Break 2016

Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen traveled to Taiwan for Fall Break 2016, where she met with several university officials and many government entities.
While there, Professor Nguyen visited the Graduate Institute of Science and Technology Law at National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, the Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, Ming Chuan University, Soo Chow University, National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University, and National Chiao Tung University. In addition, she visited the Fo Guang Shan Budda Museum, the Overseas Community Affairs Council, the Taiwan-USA Industrial Cooperation Promotion Office, and Hsinchu Science Park.
Professor Nguyen, who holds the Gerald L. Bepko Chair in Law, is the director of the IU McKinney Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation. She is an internationally recognized legal scholar, known for her expertise at the intersections of intellectual property, secured transactions, bankruptcy, licensing, and taxation. She received the Grant Gilmore Award from the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, an honor bestowed only eight times since its creation in 1992, in recognition of her scholarship.
