IU McKinney to Commemorate Black History Month with Event Series
02/06/2018
The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) has planned a series of events to celebrate Black History Month at IU McKinney.
"Black History Month is the time of the year where the nation can recognize and appreciate the history of Black Americans in this country," said BLSA member Stephen Rollins, II. "Furthermore, it is also a time to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and plan for the future. We chose these specific events to highlight the impact Black Americans have had on America's legal system as well as the impact the American legal system has on Black Americans today. As Black law students, it is our duty to make sure these topics are being discussed at McKinney to provide for a richer and more diverse experience for all students."
