01/31/2020
The publication preLaw Magazine has rated IU McKinney among the top schools for public service, rating the school at number 10 in the government category, and at number 9 in the public defenders category. A story about the ratings appears in the Winter 2020 issue.
The magazine looked at employment data, curriculum, tuition, debt, and loan repayment options to identify the best law schools for public service. IU McKinney's rankings can be found on pages 42 and 44 of the magazine.
The magazine frequently finds IU McKinney's programs deserve high ratings. In 2019, the Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation received an A- rating from preLaw. The magazine also gave the law school an A for Environmental Law, an A- for Criminal Law, and an A+ Health Law. In 2017, preLaw gave the law school a B+ for its international law offerings.
